Qualities
Fresh Rehmannia is used in formulas that require
yin-tonifying benefits of Rehmannia but also require a
cooling or anti-inflammatory effect. Fresh Rehmannia is
often used in cases where a person is experiencing such
warming symptoms as hot flashes. It is used less
commonly than Prepared Rehmannia in tonic herbalism but
can be very useful in cases of yin deficiency.
